Leave A Gift In Your Will

Leave A Gift In Your Will

We want to provide our patients with Quality of Life to the End of Life. After providing for your loved ones, leaving a gift in your Will to The Countess of Brecknock Hospice is a meaningful way to help ensure our patients and families receive compassionate care when they need it most.

Gifts in Wills fund the care for around 1 in 5 hospice patients and are incredibly important to us, and we are always touched and honoured to be remembered in a Will. These gifts mean we can keep supporting people facing life-limiting illness with specialist care, comfort and dignity for years to come.

Your Will is, of course, a private matter, but if you choose to leave us a gift we would love to know as this helps us plan for the future and gives us the chance to thank you personally.

“The Hospice provided such wonderful care for my wife and me, allowing us to spend precious time together in a caring and homely environment. By leaving a gift in my Will to The Countess of Brecknock Hospice, I know that other people will be able to receive the same level of care and support which makes a difficult time easier.”

Why leave a gift to The Countess of Brecknock Hospice?

We believe no one should face a life-limiting illness alone. Every gift helps us to provide compassionate care and support to patients, families and carers across our community, and means this vital service is maintained and continually improved for generations to come.

Thanks to our highly skilled, specialist multi-disciplinary team, The Countess of Brecknock Hospice is a place of expert care, compassion, understanding, warmth and support at the most difficult time – a place where our specialist staff care not only for our patients, but for their families, friends, carers, and children too.

By remembering the Hospice in your Will, you’ll be making a lasting impact that helps our patients live as fully and comfortably as possible when it matters most.

Writing a Will helps ensure your wishes are carried out and makes things easier for your loved ones. Without a Will, your estate will be distributed according to the law, which may not reflect your intentions. A Will also allows you to:

Provide for family and friends;

Leave gifts to charities and causes you care about;

Appoint trusted executors;

Potentially reduce inheritance tax;

Organise care for children and dependents; and

Have peace of mind that your affairs are in order.

We are delighted to offer our supporters a completely free and professionally-written Will. To do this, we have partnered with Make a Will Online who provide a professional, simple, secure and solicitor-checked online Will writing service.

✔ Free to use

✔ Solicitor checked

✔ Secure online process

✔ Complete in as little as 20 minutes

Every Will is reviewed by a fully qualified solicitor and, if you have any legal questions along the way, support is available from their in-house legal team.

There is absolutely no obligation to leave us a gift in your Will, although we would be incredibly grateful if you choose to do so. By planning for the future, you can help us continue providing Quality of Life to the End of Life for local patients and families.

For complex estates, if you have adult dependent relatives or property overseas, you may prefer to speak to your own solicitor.

  1. Residuary gift – a share of what remains in your estate after other gifts and expenses.
  2. Pecuniary gift – a fixed sum of money
  3. Specific gift – an item such as jewellery, property, artwork or shares
